Patients with neuropathy, diabetes and circulatory problems may develop wounds that have difficulty healing. There are now hundreds of new medications and medical breakthroughs that enable slow healing wounds to heal faster. One new treatment that we use is called: “Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy.” With this treatment, a small sample of blood is taken from a patients arm and wound growth factors are removed via a special device and applied to a wound that is not healing. This causes wounds that were not healing readily to heal faster.
