We treat many professional as well as weekend athletes. Many of our patients have run the New York Marathon. Our approach to athletes is to make sure that their feet are functioning without imbalances. We make sports orthotics for many of our patients and these are designed by the best orthotic labs in the United States and in some cases these sport orthotics are used by major league ball players. These sports orthotics will not only eliminate foot pain and prevent injuries but they will increase the ability of the muscles and tendons to perform and as a result the athlete’s performance in sports will be greatly improved. We also provide physical medicine such as interferential therapy, ultrasound, tens therapy and H wave to treat pain an swelling after an athlete has run a marathon or played in a major sports event. It is not uncommon for our patients to report meeting with and mingling with professional athletes in our waiting room.
